Semi-trailers for the collection and transport of spent batteries and accumulators
A spent battery is not waste like any other: acids corrode standard steel, the weight is concentrated in a few points of the body, and if damaged, a lithium battery can even catch fire. Transport is regulated by ADR regulations and requires a vehicle built for this purpose, not simply adapted.
Gervasi Ecologica designs semi-trailers for battery transport built for exactly this: stainless steel internal lining against corrosion, reinforced floor for concentrated loads, compliance with ADR classes 8 and 9. A sector set to grow faster than any other in the coming years, driven by the expansion of electric vehicles.

What makes this work challenging
The operational challenges facing those who collect and transport spent batteries and industrial accumulators.
Acids that corrode the body
Lead-acid batteries release acids that attack standard steel in a short time. A resistant internal lining is needed.
Heavy, concentrated battery packs
An electric vehicle battery pack can weigh up to 800 kg in a small space. The floor must withstand this concentrated pressure.
Transport regulated by ADR rules
Spent batteries are hazardous waste subject to ADR classification. The vehicle must be compliant, and so must the driver.
What we recommend
Cobra KR Inox
Integrated crane and reinforced floor: self-sufficient collection even of the heaviest EV battery packs.
Special Configurations
Custom configurations for specific battery transport and delivery needs.
